when I ordered my one-piece carbon fiber shaft, I ordered it based on a prescribed critical speed. My shaft (hehe) has a critical speed over 10,000 rpm. If you figure a redline of 7200, divided by the overdrive ratio of 0.752, that gives you a max shaft speed of about 9900. I agree, though, it's worth knowing the critical speed of the shaft that you purchase.... On the other hand, there are all kinds of fast cars on the road with shafts that are longer that the one-piece shafts in the Z, so I don't think that all TT's with one-piece shafts are gonna start disintegrating.
